In America The early performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely have put her in the prodigy child category. However, for a child from Irish heritage surrounded by gifted parents and family members, these were very natural traits. Maureen was welcomed into this cherished refuge located in Ranelagh, Ireland on August 17th 1920. Marguerita Lilburn fitzSimons' mother was an contralto. Charles FitzSimons owned the Shamrock Rovers soccer club in Ireland. He also owned a Dublin business. Maureen was the second child of six FitzSimons children - Peggy, Florrie, Charles B. Fitzsimons, Margot Fitzsimons and James O'Hara completed this beautiful family. Maureen was a fan of rough sports as young and became very good at them.
